Dendritic cell (DC) vaccine, which is a novel therapeutic vaccine technique developed in recent years, combines the dendritic cells with antigens in order to present the antigens to the body's white blood cells, thus stimulating a long-lasting and specific immune response. It is mainly used to prevent and treat many kinds of diseases such as Hepatitis B, AIDS, and various tumors. At present, DC vaccine has three major categories: total cell antigen loading of DC vaccine, antigen peptide loading of DC vaccine and antigen gene modified DC vaccine
1) Direct carrying of the antigen makes its effect is more direct and better than traditional vaccine;
2) Not only produces protective antibody, but also activates specific cellular immunity;
3) Not only can prevent, but also has better therapeutic effect;
4) DC vaccine can be obtained easily and its operation is simple.
